About Clint Orms
Clint Orms grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, where his father worked at a western wear store. He made hand-tooled leather belts in high school, then turned to buckles because the belts were just going to wear out. He worked under western sculptor and saddle maker Buck Brumley and apprenticed with four silver designers across the West, though he says most of his education came from studying vintage buckles and antique silver.
He opened his shop in Dallas in 1992 and moved it to the Hill Country in 2003. Today his Kerrville studio hand-engraves sterling silver and gold into buckles, bolo ties, hat pins, money clips and jewelry, all made in the USA and finished by hand.
Nigro's is proud to add Clint Orms to our case. These are heirloom pieces, the kind that get handed down, and they belong in a family store that has been outfitting the West since 1973.
