About Tony Lama
Tony Lama learned shoemaking as an Army cobbler at Fort Bliss, then opened a small repair shop in El Paso in 1911. Ranchers who liked his repair work started asking him for whole boots.
The name was built on exotic leathers, shark, lizard, alligator and ostrich, and on a tradition begun in 1948 of presenting a pair to the sitting president. Boots are still made in El Paso.

Tony Lama is where people go when they want something with a little more to look at. The exotics are worth seeing in person, because a photograph never gets the scale right.
