About Lucchese

Sicilian immigrant Salvatore Lucchese and his brothers opened a boot shop in San Antonio in 1883, working first for cavalry officers stationed at Fort Sam Houston. The King Ranch became a customer in 1921, and the family name travelled with it.

Lucchese is known for hand construction and exotic leathers. Boots are still cut, lasted, pegged and stitched by hand at the El Paso factory the company moved to in 1986.
Lucchese is the boot people save up for, and it is worth handling in person before you spend that. We are adding a lot more of the line this season.
