About Warbonnet Hats

Warbonnet builds fully custom cowboy hats in Park City, Utah, and builds them the slow way — every hat starts and finishes under one roof, on the shop's own blocks and irons.

The company is run by Van Kelly and Jared Higgins, whose family roots run through Midway, Kamas and the rest of Utah's Heber Valley, and the hats were made for that crowd first: cowboys, ropers and rodeo hands who wanted something that fit right and held its shape. Master hatter Kory Jacobs has been at the block for Warbonnet for seventeen years, and can turn a fully custom hat around in as little as forty-eight hours.

Felt runs 20X to 50X, with pure beaver and mink blends above that, in colors like Silverbelly, Pecan, Sangria, Nutmeg and Midnight — plus straw for the summer. Every one of them is shaped, fitted and creased to the head it is going on.
We love outfitting our Utah cowboys. They are the ones who got our name going.
