About XtraTuf
XTRATUF began with BFGoodrich and a problem on the water: commercial fishermen needed a safer boot for slick decks. The answer was full rubber, a neoprene lining and a chevron outsole that grips when everything is wet. Alaska's fleet took to it fast, and the boots soon walked off the boats and into town, earning the nickname the unofficial state shoe of Alaska.
The Ankle Deck Boot followed in 2016, taking that same waterproof build down to an easier, shorter height. Since 2021 XTRATUF has been part of Rocky Brands.
Kansas is a long way from the Bering Sea, but mud, rain, barn chores and garden beds are right here at home. That is why Nigro's keeps XTRATUF Ankle Deck Boots on the wall: slip them on, hose them off and get back to it.
