Corral Size Guide

Corral

Start at your regular shoe size.

Corral are hand-made in León, Mexico — in their words, “Hand Made — Every pair is unique.” They fit close to your usual size, with a snug instep and a heel that slips a little until the sole breaks in. That slip is normal in a western boot and settles within a few wears.

Sizes and widths we carry

Range
Women’s sizes 5 through 12, in half sizes to 10½
Width B/M (medium) on most styles; a couple come in B and C
Men’s Corral build men’s boots, in D width. We don’t stock them at present — ask and we will order

On conversions

Corral publish one size chart and it is a picture, not data — there is no written fit guide, no width chart and no calf measurement anywhere on their site. We won’t retype numbers we can’t verify. What we can tell you from fitting these boots for years:

  • If you wear a half size, take the half size. Corral make them and they fit true.
  • Between two whole sizes, size up. A western boot has to slide on over the instep.
  • Snip-toe and pointed styles feel longer than the square toes at the same size. The length is the same; the toe box just runs out sooner.
  • Tall shafts are cut for a standard calf. If you have a fuller calf, the ankle boots and shorties are the easier fit.

How they are built

Part What Corral use
Construction Goodyear welt — so they can be resoled
Outsole Leather, usually with a rubber insert and a rubber heel cap
Insole Cushioned leather
Lining Smooth leather, cowhide on most styles

Most Corral boots use distressed, embroidered, inlaid or hand-painted leathers. Brush the dust off, condition sparingly, and keep them out of direct heat — a radiator will crack an embroidered vamp faster than anything you do wearing them.

Construction details are Corral’s own, from their product specifications. Sizes and widths are what we actually stock. We have published no length or centimetre figures because Corral only publish their chart as an image and we could not read it reliably.
