Dan Post Kids Size Guide

Dan Post Kids

Measure the foot, then read the chart — don’t go by age.

Dan Post size children’s boots the usual way: the numbers climb to 13½, then start again at 1 for the bigger feet. A 1 is a whole size larger than a 13½, not smaller. Dan Post say the same thing about fit here as they do for grown-ups — “our boots typically run true to size.”

Widths: Dan Post build children’s boots in D only. There is no narrow and no wide in the kids range.

Fitting a growing foot

Stand them up in the boot with the socks they will actually wear. The ball of the foot wants to sit on the widest part of the sole, and the toes should just touch the leather. A little heel lift is right — Dan Post call slight heel slippage normal, and it settles as the boot flexes.

Bring them in and we will measure both feet properly. It takes two minutes and it is free, and it beats buying a size up and hoping.

Foot lengths and centimetres are Dan Post’s own, from their fit guide. The last row of their children’s chart is printed as US 16, which is not a children’s size — we have left that row off rather than guess what it was meant to say. EU and UK columns dropped.
