HYER Men's Size Guide
HYER Men’s
Order your normal shoe size.
HYER’s own words: “Choose your normal shoe size. Hyer boots fit true to US sizing.” If you land between two sizes, they say take the half size up, not down.
Sizes and widths we stock
| Size run | 6 through 14 |
| Half sizes | Up to 11½. 12, 13 and 14 come in whole sizes only. |
| Widths | D (standard) and EE (wide) |
Not every boot runs the full range — several of the newer styles start at 8. The size dropdown on each boot is the honest list.
HYER’s fit rules, in their words
| If… | HYER say |
|---|---|
| You are between sizes | “We recommend the ½ size larger.” |
| You have a narrow foot | “Either half size down or choose your true size in regular width.” |
| You have a wider foot | “Either size up or choose the wide width.” |
| Your socks are thick or thin | “Be conscious of your sock – thin or thick. This can make a difference when trying on boots.” |
| They feel tight out of the box | “New boots may feel snug initially but will stretch to fit your foot with regular wear.” |
Their size chart

How to measure
Stand on a flat floor in the socks you will actually wear. Mark the floor square to the back of your heel and square to your longest toe, then measure between the two marks and read that against the chart above. Do both feet and work from the longer one.

Widths

HYER publish their size chart as a picture rather than as figures, so we have not retyped the foot lengths — the chart above is theirs. Beyond the rules in the table, they publish very little: no calf or shaft measurements, and no separate fit note for each last. If you are between widths, call us and we will measure you properly.
A local boot
HYER started in 1875 in a cobbler’s shop in Olathe, fifteen minutes down the road from our counter, and they claim the first cowboy boot ever made. We like selling them for the boot, not just the story.
