Justin Women's Size Guide

Justin Women’s

Justin don’t publish a size-up or size-down rule, so start at your usual shoe size.

Nowhere on justinboots.com do they say their boots run true to size, large or small — we’re not going to make that call for them. What they do say about the in-between: “if you fall between sizes, it’s usually better to go with the larger size, as boots will naturally loosen with wear.”

Boot sizes

US EU CM
4 35 20.8
4.5 35 21.3
5 35–36 21.6
5.5 36 22.2
6 36–37 22.5
6.5 37 23
7 37–38 23.5
7.5 38 23.8
8 38–39 24.1
8.5 39 24.6
9 39–40 25.1
9.5 40 25.4
10 40–41 25.9
10.5 41 26.2
11 41–42 26.7
11.5 42 27.1
12 42–43 27.6

Justin label that last column only “CM”. They don’t say whether it is your foot or the boot, and they publish no foot-length-in-inches chart at all — so use it as a conversion reference, not as something to measure your foot against. There is no women’s size below 4 or above 12 on their chart.

Widths

Width Justin’s description
B Standard
C Wide

Two widths, and that is the whole range — Justin build five for men and two for women, so there is less room to fix a fit problem with width here. You will also see B shown as M and C shown as W on some Justin listings; those are the same widths under different labels. Justin publish no foot-width measurements to go with the letters, and their own advice is to “get professionally measured at your local retailer” — which is us, so come in.

Getting the fit right

  • The pop. Justin: “you should hear a ‘pop’ as your foot slides into place.” No pop usually means the boot is too big.
  • Heel slip is meant to be there. “A slight heel slip (about ¼ to ½ inch) is perfectly normal.” It settles as the sole flexes.
  • Instep. “The top of your foot (instep) should feel snug, but not tight.” That is what holds the boot on.
  • Ball of the foot. “The ball of your foot should align with the widest part of the boot.”
  • Toes. “About a thumb’s width of space between your longest toe and the tip.”
  • Measure late in the day — Justin’s own tip — “when they’re at their largest.”

Shaft heights

Justin sort their own boots into three heights: short (9″), mid (10–12″) and tall (13″ and up). We carry all three — the 15″ and 17″ tall shafts included. The exact shaft height is in the product title or on the product page.

All of the above is from justinboots.com. A note on what Justin do not publish: no separate fit or sizing guidance for their women’s work boots — steel toe and waterproof styles run off this same chart. J-Flex is a cushioned insole and insole board, not a different last, and Justin publish no fit difference between the Stampede, Bent Rail and AQHA lines either. One older Justin fit article says to expect about an inch of heel slip, which contradicts the quarter-to-half inch on two of their newer pages; we’ve gone with the quarter-to-half.
