Old West Women's Size Guide
Old West Women’s
True to size, and built in one width only.
Most women take their regular shoe size in an Old West boot. Between sizes, or planning on a thicker sock, take the next half size up. Every women’s style comes in a B medium and nothing else — you will see it written B/M on our product pages, and it is the same boot either way.
What we stock
| Detail | What we carry |
|---|---|
| Sizes | 5, 5½, 6, 6½, 7, 7½, 8, 8½, 9, 9½, 10 |
| Widths | B/M — medium. The only width in the women’s line. |
| Shaft height | Varies by style and is listed on each boot’s page. |
Shaft height does not change the size you take, but a taller shaft will feel snugger over the calf. Worth checking if you plan to wear the boot under a jean or over a legging.
How a new western boot should feel
| Where to check | What a correct fit feels like |
|---|---|
| Heel | A little slip in a new boot is right. It goes away as the sole breaks in. |
| Ball of foot | Sitting at the widest part of the boot, not ahead of it. |
| Instep | Snug. That is what holds your foot in place, not the toe. |
| Toe | Shape makes no difference to size. A snip toe, a J toe and a round toe in the same size all measure the same. |
Old West don’t publish a size chart or a foot-length table of their own, so there are no brand measurements to print here. The size run above is what we stock, and the fitting advice is ours from behind the counter.
