Stetson Women's Size Guide
Stetson Women’s
A size 16 sits in both of Stetson’s women’s ranges, and they are not the same garment.
Their standard XL is a 16–18; their 1X is a 16–18W. Same number on the label, about three inches apart in the bust. If you are anywhere near that line, pick off the bust and waist figures below and ignore the number. Everything here is a body measurement, not the garment.
Apparel
All measurements in inches, taken on the body rather than the garment. Sizes 1X and up are Stetson’s extended range.

How to measure
Bust — around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, arms relaxed, tape level with the floor.
Waist — around the natural waistline, tape level with the floor.
Hip — around the fullest part of the hips and seat.
Figures as published by Stetson. They publish one women’s chart and no separate figures for skirts, dresses or jackets, so use the waist and hip above for a skirt and the bust for everything else. They say nothing about how their clothing runs, and we are not going to guess on their behalf.
