In Lucchese’s own words, their boots run true to size — but don’t be surprised if your boot size comes out slightly smaller than your dress shoe size. That’s the construction, not a mistake. A correct fit feels like a firm handshake across the instep, and a slight slip in the heel is normal; it goes away as the sole breaks in over the first six to eight wearings.

Widths

Men’s: B (narrow), D (average to medium), EE (wide).
Women’s: A (narrow), B (average to medium), C (wide).

Lucchese’s rule of thumb: the further you get from the letter A, the wider the boot.

On our site we label these D/M and EE/W for men, B/M and C/W for women — the same width you’d ask for at the counter.
