About Wrangler
Wrangler hired Philadelphia rodeo tailor Bernard Lichtenstein, known as Rodeo Ben, to build a jean for working cowboys. He prototyped it with rodeo riders, and it launched in 1947.
Renamed the 13MWZ in 1952, that jean has barely changed since: flat felled seams, a high rise, and a leg cut to sit over a boot. In 1974 the PRCA endorsed it, and it is still the jean you see behind the chutes.

Wrangler is the jean people buy by the number. They walk in, say 13MWZ and their size, and walk out. We keep the sizes deep for exactly that reason.
