A good fit: the widest part of your foot sits on the widest part of the sole, snug across the instep, and no more than an eighth of an inch of heel lift. That bit of lift is meant to be there.

Jeans — which fit is which

Fit	How it sits
M1 Vintage	Slim through the seat and thigh, sits just below the waist. Straight leg over boots.
M2 Traditional	Relaxed through waist, hip and thigh. Lower rise, tapered bootcut.
M3 Loose	Loose through hip and thigh, lower rise, straight leg.
M4 Relaxed	Relaxed through hip and thigh, lower rise. Classic bootcut or straight.
M5 Straight	Straight through seat and thigh, sits just below the waist. Wider straight leg.
M7 Slim	Slim through seat and thigh, sits below the waist. Layers cleanly over boots.
M8 Modern	Sits lower, narrowest leg opening. Built for casual wear, not boots.

Length: Ariat say to add 2–4″ to your usual inseam to stack over a boot — about 2″ for a clean stack, 3–4″ for a deeper one. The hem should rest just above the heel.

Body measurements, not garment. Ariat also make tall sizes (LT–3XLT) but the sleeve lengths on their published chart are garbled, so we haven’t reprinted them — call us and we’ll measure.
