Their own words: “Durango® boots fit true to size.” Order the size you normally wear. Durango add that you should try boots on later in the day, because “feet tend to swell during the day”, and wear “socks that you would normally wear to account for fit”.

The men’s column is Durango’s own cross-reference. Their chart carries on to a women’s 14, but 12 is the largest we stock.

Widths: B (medium) and C (wide), shown on our site as B/M and C/W. Most of what we stock is B only. A few styles — some Rebel Pro and Lady Rebel Pro boots among them — also come in C, so check the width selector on the product page.

What a good fit feels like

Check	Durango’s guidance
Pulling on	“You should have a little resistance and need to pull slightly.”
Heel	“Some degree of heel slippage is normal in cowboy boots, but it shouldn’t be excessive.”
Ball of foot	“The ball of your foot should rest at the widest part of the boot’s forepart.”
Instep	Snug around the instep and ball of the foot, but “not uncomfortably tight”.
Toes	“Aim for about ½″ – 1″ of space between your longest toe and the boot’s tip.”

If a boot shaft is usually tight on your calf, look for Easy-Fit.

Durango build some styles with a hidden expansion seam in the shaft: “Easy-Fit™ boots feature hidden shaft expansion designed for wider calves”. It sits in the Lady Rebel Pro range. Durango do not publish how much it expands or what calf range it covers, so ring us and we’ll measure a pair against yours.

Lines and what changes

Rebel and Maverick work boots	Offered with a steel or composite toe. Durango publish no separate sizing rule for safety toes — order your usual size and tell us if it feels tight across the toe box.
Crush, Shyloh, Harness	Durango publish no line-specific fit notes for these. Shaft height, heel height and calf circumference are listed on each product page.

This is the 10” Durango® Maverick™ Women’s Steel Toe Waterproof Western Work Boot in Rugged Tan. This boot is constructed of full-grain leather with a faux shaft and has a soft mesh lining, waterproof membrane and the Durango® X-Pand System™ which is a hidden gore expansion for universal fit and easy on/off. It also includes the Durango® X-Treme Comfort Footbed™ with memory foam for all day comfort and support. Inside features a fiberglass shank which provides lightweight stability, and the rolled shank area allows easy placement in the stirrup. This boot is finished off with a slip and oil resisting rubber outsole, single row sole stitch, 1 1/8” rocker heel and square toe.
