What a good fit feels like

Check	Durango’s guidance
Pulling on	“You should have a little resistance and need to pull slightly.”
Heel	“Some degree of heel slippage is normal in cowboy boots, but it shouldn’t be excessive.”
Ball of foot	“The ball of your foot should rest at the widest part of the boot’s forepart.”
Instep	Snug around the instep and ball of the foot, but “not uncomfortably tight”.
Toes	“Aim for about ½″ – 1″ of space between your longest toe and the boot’s tip.”

Three gaps worth knowing: Durango do not publish a foot-length-in-inches chart, only the conversions above; they publish no separate sizing rule for steel or composite toe boots, so we won’t invent one; and calf circumference is listed style by style on each product page rather than in a chart. A few styles run half sizes above 13 that Durango’s chart does not carry a conversion for. Widths listed are the ones we stock.
